of SIEU. The Delegates' Council meets once every three years
at the Triennial Delegates' Conference to review and formulate
policies pertaining to the interests and welfare of members.
It also elects an Executive Council responsible for the conduct
of the business and administration of the union in the period
between Triennial Delegates' Conferences.

Officials elected will serve as the Union's President, 1st
Vice President, 2nd Vice President, General Secretary, Deputy
General Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, 1st Assistant
Treasurer and 2nd Assistant Treasurer. The other Executive
Council members are representatives of the companies or units
where SIEU is represented. Under the union's constitution
Rule No 7 (d) (ii), each unit shall be represented on the
Executive Council on the basis of one representative for every
200 members that each unit is subjected to a minimum of one
representative each, regardless of the membership size. An
Executive Council member must be a delegate elected from among
members of that unit by a secret ballot under Rule No 7 (d)
(i) which stipulates that the number of delegates appointed
from each unit shall be on the basis of two delegates for
the first twenty members and thereafter one delegate for every
twenty members or part thereof.
The Executive
Council shall meet at least once a month and more than half
of its total number shall form a quorum. Any member of the
