The school hols may be over, but that doesn’t mean the family fun has to end.

Looking for a more affordable day out with the kids during the weekends? We’ve got your back.

With NTUC membership and UPlay family bonding deals, you’ll be surprised at the number of things you can do with the kiddos in Singapore at friendlier prices. From fun indoor play to a thrilling VR adventure, we’ve got the lowdown on the deals with more bang for your buck.

Plus, we’ll share tips on how to extend the fun with your Community Development Council (CDC) vouchers and the SG60 vouchers that you can claim from today, 1 July 2025.

Singaporeans aged 21 and above can claim their $600 in SG60 vouchers starting from 22 July 2025, while those aged 60 and above can use their $800 vouchers from today. The SG60 vouchers, available at go.gov.sg/sg60v, can be used like CDC vouchers at all merchants that accept them. Similarly, half of the SG60 vouchers can be spent at participating heartland merchants, while the other half will be allocated to supermarkets.

So, take a break from binge-watching Squid Game Season 3 and bring the family for some quality bonding time.

Food and fun in the south

Lava Floor Game

Lava Floor game 2 For upload.jpg

The Lava Floor Game is a must for fans of the American television game show series Floor Is Lava. Inspired by the popular show, players must complete 25 levels by stepping on the digital blue tiles to clear them while avoiding the red lava tiles that can cost a life. As with most games, the challenge increases with each level, but it’s more fun to play with the fam.

With the fancy footwork needed to win the game and 25 levels to conquer, some people have likened it to getting a gym workout!

NTUC members can enjoy a good deal with UPlay—a family of four pays $48 (U.P. $52) for a 20-minute session in a private game room.

We recommend heading to the outlet at #03-15 HarbourFront Centre, where you can grab a fun-filled meal at the nearby NTUC FairPrice Xtra at VivoCity.

FairPrice Xtra VivoCity

At the supermarket’s VivoCity outlet, your family can select their favourite cuts of meat and have them cooked on the spot at its Grill-on-Demand stations. Simply pay for your choice of meat and top up $8 to make it a delicious meal with two sides. Prefer seafood? You can enjoy the same cooking services with fish, prawns and lobsters at $4 for the first 500g and $1 for every subsequent 100g.

Meanwhile, your K-pop-obsessed tweens and teens might have fun at the newly opened Yorihada Kitchen. Professional Korean chef-trained FairPrice staff serve K-food faves, such as dakgangjeong (Korean fried chicken), tteokbokki (rice cakes), eumok (skewered fish cakes), and more. Daebak!

Best of all, you can use your CDC or SG60 supermarket vouchers to pay for the meal.

Dinosaur-themed escapades

The cutting-edge technology promises a more immersive thrill than conventional VR rides, offering a variety of movements and manoeuvres.
