1978 - BIRTH OF A NEW ERA! 

In 1978 after consultation with the NTUC, the Singapore Insurance Companies Employees’ Union (SICEU) saw a name change to today's Singapore Insurance Employees’ Union (SIEU). The change was necessary for the union to enlarge its scope of representation and accept associate members. With that, also came a change in the union’s corporate logo.
